The app goes on your child's phone and keeps filtering on wherever they are. You manage everything from your dashboard.
On the GitHub release page, download zaksha-agent.apk, then tap the download notification or find it in the Files app.
The phone asks once for permission to install apps from this browser — tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, and go back.
Zaksha isn't distributed through the Play Store yet, so Google shows a caution for any app installed outside it. Tap More details → Install anyway. The app is signed by Zaksha — you can verify the file's checksum on our release page below.
The app asks for a pairing code — it's showing in your Zaksha dashboard on the Add device screen.
Skip the download above — the phone installs Zaksha itself and locks filtering on, so it can't be turned off or uninstalled from the phone. Here's the whole flow:
On app.zaksha.com: Add device → Android → New or reset → Tamper-proof. A setup QR appears on your screen.
On the child's phone: Settings → System → Reset options → Erase all data (factory reset). Back up photos and chats first — everything on the phone is removed and there's no undo.
When the phone restarts to the "Hi there" welcome screen, tap anywhere on it six times — a QR scanner opens.
Connect to Wi-Fi if the phone asks, then point the camera at the QR on your dashboard. The phone downloads Zaksha and sets it up on its own.
Sign in, restore what you need — Zaksha is already protecting the phone and shows as connected in your dashboard.
Tap the button above on your child's iPhone, or search for Zaksha in the App Store.
Enter the pairing code from your dashboard's Add device screen.
When iOS asks, approve Zaksha's DNS settings — the app walks you through it. Filtering stays on wherever the phone goes, on Wi-Fi and mobile data.
Install from a parent/administrator account. Your child's own Windows account should be Standard, not Administrator — that's what keeps them from removing the protection. Check under Settings → Accounts → Family & other users.
On app.zaksha.com: Add device → Windows. You'll get the installer plus a one-line command carrying your setup key — that's what enrols this PC to your account.
Press Start, type cmd, right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator, then paste the command from your dashboard and press Enter. Approve the Windows prompt when it appears.
Within a minute the PC shows as connected in your dashboard and filtering is active. Running as a system service, it's hard for a standard account to switch off.
